Children’s Programs at New Danville
We Value Children
At New Danville we cherish the lives of children and believe they are an important part of church life. Just like the rest of the family, children can participate in worship, learning and serving. In fact we have children involved with both our technical and worship teams as well as other areas in the church. The sections below describe the opportunities for kids on Sunday mornings.
Children’s Groups (9:00am)
Each Sunday small groups are held for children from 9 to 10am. Currently we have a group for preschool ages 2-5, an elementary group for students in grades K-5 and a youth group for students in grades 6-12. Each of these groups meets on the lower level of the church and is staffed by teachers who bring a variety of interactive lessons, crafts a games. Parents can drop their children off directly at the classroom at 9:00am and then pick students up at 10:00am. Teachers are always available to answer questions before and after the class. While your children are in their groups consider joining one of the adult groups that meets simultaneously in the lower level. An usher or someone at the Hospitality Table can direct you to the various groups.
Adventure Station (10:15am)
Adventure Station is an exciting program for children held during our 10:15 service. The nursery, ages birth to 2 years, is staffed for the entire service and is located just off of the lobby. Children age 2 through 5th grade attend the first portion of the adult service for worship and prayer. Just prior to the morning’s message the children are dismissed to Adventure Station. Children should be signed in at the Kiosk in the lobby prior to the service. Once they are dismissed they enjoy a time of worship together and then split in to two groups: Little Steamers (2-5 year old’s) and Kid Express (Grades K-5) for their individual lesson, craft and game time. The children can be picked up after the service in their classrooms which are all located off of the lobby.
